释义	穆罕默德·阿里1769—1849Muhammad Ali 穆罕默德·阿里埃及总督(1805—1849)，埃及阿里王朝(1805—1953)奠基者。生于希腊卡瓦拉城驻军小头领家庭。曾是烟草商人。1801年应奥斯曼帝国召募，集结小队武装赴埃及抗法，因功晋升为驻埃主力部队阿尔巴尼亚军团将领，与埃及新兴地主商人集团建立了密切联系。1803年，联合马木路克军团驱逐土耳其总督。1805年率部参加开罗人民起义，夺得政权，土耳其苏丹被迫封其为埃及总督。1807年痛击英国侵略军，1811年设计聚歼马木路克军团大小头领，巩固了统治地位。统治期间，实行一系列改革：没收马木路克的土地为国有，一部分赐于王亲和官吏，形成新的封建地主集团；改革赋税制，发展经济作物，兴修水利，提高了农民生产的积极性；发展工商业，兴建一批官办和私营企业；组建拥兵二十万人、战舰三十二艘的新军；兴办各类学校，改革行政制度，确立中央集权制。但改革并未触动旧的生产关系。其间不断向外扩张，1819年侵入苏丹，1831年攻入叙利亚。为摆脱对土耳其的臣属地位，于1831—1833年和1839—1840年两次击败土军。后因遭英、法、俄、奥干涉，被迫承认土耳其的宗主权，大量裁军，仅保留埃及、苏丹的总督世袭权。晚年积郁成疾，精神错乱，在忧虑中去世。
